The Courage for Joy *Hybrid*

Poet William Blake reminds us that “Joy and woe are woven fine, a clothing for the soul divine.” When we face the world’s woe, or pain of our own lives, we try to summon up the courage to be strong, to endure. But many spiritual traditions remind us that hard times call for another kind of courage too – the courage to experience joy, even in the face of hardship or suffering.
