In the first session we took a brief historical tour of Evangelicalism and how it became involved in politics. This second session will go into a little more detail concerning further characteristics of the movement. We will examine their issues that both divide and unite it, their political agendas and parallel developments with fascism and nationalism.

The Plight of the Uyghers in China – Lehigh Conference of Churches, Presenter
The Uyghers are a Turkic people who live in Northwestern China. They are mostly Muslim and are being persecuted by the Chinese who are seeking to destroy the Uygher religion and culture. We will learn more about the Uyghers from concerned church members in our community thanks to the invitation from Beth Taylor of our Social Action Committee.
