Virtue Ethics : Senior High, Grades 9-12

Throughout the 2020-21 RE year, we will be using ​Virtue Ethics: An Ethical Development Program For High School Youth,​ a Tapestry of Faith Program by Jessica York, as a reference and basis for expansion as we “question what they have been taught about each virtue, how the virtue operates in the real world, and whether and how they might practice it.” Although a lot has changed in our world since the program was written in 2012, the activities offered in it will inspire our methods of exploring virtue ethics in the context of today. In this student-led setting, the group’s main goal will be to choose and plan how we will practice specific virtues through social action projects that address the issues currently facing our local and global communities.
